Japan's Largest ski area
Shiga Kogen is one of the skiing meccas of the world. Located only a short distance from Nagano, Shiga Kogen is by far the largest ski area in Japan, offering an amazing 21 interlinked ski resorts, all accessible with one ski pass. The accommodation villages, scattered throughout the central ski areas, offer a wide variety of resort and lodge types, and a coach shuttle operates all day through the region (free with all ski passes). The many unique bars and restaurants allow Australians to experience a more traditional Japan as it is a largely undiscovered destination for overseas skiers.

 Yudanaka Biyu-no-yado (former View Hotel)is believed to have its hot springs open to public some 1300 years ago. A well known Japanese "Haiku" poet also loved the tranquility of this place and created many haiku poems from here. Enjoy their seasonal Japanese cuisines and Japanese tatami room. Approximately 20 minutes to famous Jigokudani Yaen Koen (Monkey’s Onsen Park). Biyu-no-yado offering free shuttle service to/from park. Remarks: Breakfast and Dinner included. |
